Mahrang Baloch stated that the "alarming wave" must be resisted by everyone following the recent forcible disappearance of 12 more Baloch men.

Quetta [Pakistan], October 19 : Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch has called on everyone to stand against the "alarming wave" of forced disappearances, following the reported abduction of 12 more Baloch individuals, including a Station House Officer (SHO) from the Levies, in Dera Bugti on Saturday.

This situation has arisen as the Baloch Yakjehti Committee seeks support from international organizations to address the ongoing atrocities and enforced disappearances in Balochistan attributed to Pakistani armed forces.

In a post on X, Mahrang Baloch expressed, "12 Baloch individuals are forcibly disappeared in Dera Bugti, including a Levies SHO. Their families are left in despair, fearing for their loved ones' safety. This alarming wave of forced disappearances must be opposed by all." 

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) confirmed that one of the individuals among those who disappeared in Dera Bugti is a Levies SHO. In another post on X, the BYC reported, "Another wave of enforced disappearances from Dera Bugti has occurred, with 12 Baloch individuals forcibly disappeared today, 19 October. One of the victims is a SHO of Levies. Their families are unaware of their loved ones' whereabouts and fear for their safety. The names of the victims include: Wazir Bigti, SHO Tariq Bugti, Raees Bugti, Murtaza Bugti, Qasim Bugti, Barkat Bugti, Zahid Bugti, Parho Bugti, Fazal Hussain Bugti, Fazal Bugti, Juma Bugti, and Qurban Bugti."

The BYC further urged the international community and human rights organizations to take note of the rising instances of enforced disappearances, emphasizing that Baloch individuals are being abducted daily. "We must resist to put an end to this brutal practice," the post stated.

Previously, on Tuesday, four young Baloch men were reported missing in Karachi amidst the ongoing violations and enforced disappearances in Balochistan by Pakistani armed forces. Reports indicate that these four young men were allegedly detained during a raid on a hotel in Karachi. They have been identified as Zain Baloch, Zareef Ahmed, Akram Baloch, and Anees Baloch, all from Panjgur, as reported by The Balochistan Post.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee confirmed this incident, stating that the four individuals were in Karachi for medical treatment. Eyewitnesses claimed that the Karachi Police and officials in civilian clothing conducted a raid on the hotel, where they tortured both the hotel manager and the victims, taking the manager with them. Although the manager was later released, the four young men remain missing.
