Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], August 30: Former Cabinet Minister Pallam Raju expressed deep distress over the demolition of ORO Sports Village, owned by his brother Pallam Anand, by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA).

HYDRAA officials, accompanied by police, conducted the demolition in Khanapur earlier this month. Raju took to X to reveal that the demolition of ORO Sports Village occurred without any prior notice or consideration of necessary permissions and clearances.

Raju posted on X, "I am extremely pained by the demolition of ORO Sports Village, a cherished sports venture by my brother Anand, situated on 7 acres of leased land. The demolition was carried out without notice and without regard for prior permissions and clearances."

Alongside Raju, actor Nagarjuna also voiced his dissatisfaction after the demolition of his N Convention hall by HYDRAA near Shilparamam in Rangareddy district. Nagarjuna clarified that the land where the N Convention Centre stands is private property (Patta land) and emphasized that no part of the structure encroaches on any tank plan.

He noted that there was a stay order in place against any demolition, issued in response to an earlier notice that was deemed illegal by his legal team. Nagarjuna stated, "The land is Patta land, and no part of it encroaches on a tank plan. The building on private land was protected by a stay order against an earlier illegal demolition notice. The demolition was carried out wrongfully based on misinformation, with no prior notice. As a law-abiding citizen, I would have conducted the demolition myself if the court had ruled against me."

Nagarjuna indicated that he would pursue legal remedies in response to what he perceives as wrongful actions by the authorities, adding, "I am making this public to correct any misconceptions about wrongful constructions or encroachments by us. We will seek appropriate relief from the court concerning the wrongful actions taken by the authorities."
